De-Russification and the thaw

Summary/Abstract: The article evokes the 50s and the 60s in communist Romania, years marked, initially, by the Soviet social and political model, but later, by a detachment from this model, which meant a “thaw” in the cultural field and in daily life, the society even showing signs of de-Russification and Russophobia. The text describes many moments of the life Romanians were leading then.
