Summary/Abstract: Translation theories have frequently focused on the idea that there is no such thing as a perfect translation. Just as with translations, of different sorts as they may be, difficulties also occur in learning a foreign language. Learning Romanian as a foreign language may be a difficult process but it can certainly have a positive outcome. And this outcome may be the effect of employing various modern teaching methods as well as of comprehending transculturation as a complex phenomenon. This involves possessing thorough knowledge of the two cultures that find themselves in contact in the process of learning a foreign language.
