Criteria for the selection of texts incorporated into “The electronic corpus of 17th- and 18th-century Polish texts (up to 1772)”

Summary/Abstract: “The electronic corpus of 17th- and 18th-century Polish texts (up to 1772)” is a researchproject that is being conducted by the History of the Polish Language of the 17th and18th Century Section at the Institute of Polish Academy of Sciences in cooperation withthe Institute of Computer Science. The project is and will be sponsored by the NationalProgramme for the Development of Humanities in the years 2013–2018. The corpus ofBaroque texts will create the possibility of using corpus linguistics methods in Polishhistorical linguistic studies. The selection of texts incorporated into the corpus has aninfluence on its representative character, which is particularly difficult to achieve as far ashistorical material is concerned.
