My Relationship with Information Science

Summary/Abstract: This partly academic, partly memorial essay consists of three sections. The first of these presents some basic terms of Information Science, the second one concerns the author’s professional and research work in the Jagiellonian Library and in the Library of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, and the third one concerns the author’s academic research in the field of Information Science, both in the theoretical as well as in the practical meaning. The author underlines that Information Science is closely connected with Library Science and Librarianship.
