RESEARCH PERSPECTIVES OF VERBAL REDUNDANCY AND SHORTAGE

Summary/Abstract: We study ontology and translation of such verbal phenomena as redundancy and shortage. The analysis is based on authentic German and Russian texts containing facts of redundancy and shortage in their bilingual confrontation and translation. In the work we use the comparative and typological methods of linguistic description and modeling. In the course of the analysis of ontology-based redundancy and shortage we present a retrospective research.
