Summary/Abstract: The paper aims at presenting shortly the situation and the state in which Croatian language in BH is in the aftermath. Various views about its future are discussed; institutional activities for a better language culture are suggested while emphasising coexistence and taking into consideration linguistic differences. The analysis of the Croatian linguistic practice is strenghtened by the results of a survey that covered a sample of 102 subjects, students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Mostar. The aim of the paper is to check the equivalence of the subject's opinions and the above mentioned attitudes about the state, usage and future of Croatian language in BH, to see what the reasons for such a state are and how to improve it.
