Summary/Abstract: The review examines the monograph "Patiesa forma. Tīrs stils. Modris Ģelzis. Arhitekts" (Rīga: Neputns, 2007, 288 p.) by architecture historian Jānis Lejnieks. It deals with the legacy of Modris Ģelzis (1929-2009), outstanting representative of modernist trend in Latvia and author of numerous reconstructions of public buildings as well as private mansions and summer cottages.
