Summary/Abstract: This article presents issues associated with supply chain performance measurement. Transactions on a global scale have influenced the development of a new form of cooperation between companies, which was based on the supply chain. Evaluation of the cooperation of business entities and their activities in the supply chain requires the implementation of a complex system of performance meas-urement which takes into account various aspects and levels of the supply chain. In the article the author has defined supply chain performance measurement and characterizes its dimension in the context of supply chain management, and has presented steps of its implementation. The following sections of the article describe and analyze theoretical models of performance measurement in the supply chain created by Hieber, Karrer and the Supply Chain Council, and presents empirical results regarding performance measurement of logistics processes and of supply chains, based on different indicators and measurement tools. This paper deals with a new field of research that requires further scientific analysis and clarification in the literature.
