Summary/Abstract: Matilda Caragiu Marioteanu tackles the specific ethnic issue of Aromanians here. This ethnic group spread throughout the Balkans speaks a neo-Latin. Due to the decreasing number of its'individuals still able to speak the "aromana", (a specific language with roots in old Romanian or, according to other experts, a dialect of Romanian) this ethnic group faces at the dawn of the 3rd Millennium a lot of difficulties in preserving its' culture and tradition
