Summary/Abstract: The political and military crisis in Côte d’Ivoire (2002-2011) contributed to the salience of terms like "international community". The aim of this study is to identify the social representations that young respondents according to their differentiated practices and knowledge, have about "international community", showed to controversy. The mobilization of a hierarchical evocations questionnaire and the similarity analysis on a sample constructed according to the principle of qualitative homogeneity provides us several lessons in a comparative approach. The results underline the significance of practices on training courses in the structuring of social representations that guide and legitimize positionings facing the "international community”.
