Summary/Abstract: Roma cultural pattern is often perceived as one of the corner stones and sources of prejudices towards Roma. Although not explicitly, resilience and hermetic nature of this pattern are the most common characteristics behind manifested prejudices, as assumed condition or characteristic of Roma communities. Analysis of research results from three towns in southern Serbia puts the assumption of resilience and hemetic nature of the cultural pattern within a broader socio-cultural context and points out differences between communities that live in different surroundings.
