“The worst example of foreignisms admiration”: “late Stalinism” ideological campaigns and the fate of the historian S. A. Feigina

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the fate of the historian S. A. Feigina in the years of ideological campaigns against “bourgeois objectivism” and “rootless cosmopolitanism”. Reconstruction process criticism of her work was made on the basis of archival and published documents. The strategies for behavior during exploratory design, coping mechanisms etc. were showed. The life story of S. A. Feigina concluded that the victim of criticism could use a variety of corporate mechanisms (help by influential patrons, corporate solidarity, etc.), allowing it to mitigate the effects of persecution.
