Summary/Abstract: The Diary of Dragojla Jarnevic is an impressive journey in time to the 19th century Karlovac and many other places. Despite the fact that, according to the editor Irena Luksic, she has earned the reputation of one of the most interesting figures on the Croatian literary scene, the fact she was a woman has relativized that reputation and put it in the context of "expectations" and "limitations".
