Who are they, what are they doing? SDF - Women's Initiative Zagreb

Summary/Abstract: Founded within the Serbian Democratic Forum, Women's Initiative Zagreb of the SDF works toward increase of women's participation in the development of civil society within local communities, toward economic empowerment of women preservation of women's individual identity and their independence in decision making processes, finally, programs of this initiative are in particular directed toward multiethnic cooperation, promotion of tolerance and non-violent communication. The focus of their activities is on education and awareness raising, as well as women's human rights. SDF Women's Initiative Zagreb functions as a cordination of 14 regional offices covering the areas of Dalmatia, Lika, Banovina and Kordun together with the Centarl Office in Zagreb.
