Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the topic of unrealized architecture in both linguistic and typological perspective. The author raises hitherto rarely discussed terminological issues, analyzes the most commonly used notions and terms in conjuction with their suitability in architectural discourse. The article suggests the general typological model of unrealized architecture. Furthermore, the paper reveals the change of the concept of some unrealized architectural projects’ types (specifically “utopian” and “visionary”) throughout history.
