Summary/Abstract: Analysis of stability operations entitles us to say that one can speak of a paradigm shift in terms of military operations in that military operations are no longer centered on the enemy, but on population. Military operations should have a more comprehensive strategic objective, achievable through activities directed to the population from the area of operations. These actions will prevail in relation to the traditional direct actions on enemy forces. The latest trends define stability operations as ways to strengthen peace in war-torn societies.
