Summary/Abstract: The corruption phenomenon has an ancient history, it has come along with mankind throughout its existence and has influenced it in negative ways. From the very beginning corruption, as a social phenomenon, had direct links with organized crime, the act of corruption being a side active vector of cross border organized crime. This article will detail conceptually speaking the corruption, its dimensions, features, ways and areas of action of this scourge, emphasizing the main theoretical models of corruption practiced by some agents of social control.
