Summary/Abstract: Strategic computer games may actually teach independent ethical decision-making. "Nothing that happens in computer games is real. Despite this, many people are inclined to consider violent or evil acts “committed” in virtual reality as if they were just as dangerous as those in real life. However, the difference between a game and reality is the difference between aspiring to commit an act and actually doing it. Furthermore, it is not even associated with the initial stages of any such act. Therefore, it’s an exaggeration to look at a computer war game as a preparation for war or as something that instigates general aggressive tendencies. Collecting weapons or taking part in battle training is a much stronger indicator of aggression than purchasing a computer war game. "
