Summary/Abstract: The article presents a selected number of relations occurring between the schooling needs of knowledge society and the system of education as well as between education and pedagogy. A praxeological‑pedagogical model for communicative and educational activities is used as a tool in the analysis of the selected issues. The model indicates, among others, possibilities and conditions of acquiring and generating personalized knowledge, perceiving and experiencing values, shaping attitudes, competences and wisdom as the upper values in the global and endangered world.
