Summary/Abstract: The present paper shows whether there is cognition without any content (avişayaka-jňāna). Generally, “cognition” means “cognition of something.” But in the Advaita Vedanta system of philosophy there is pure knowledge having no content called con-tentless cognition (avişayaka-jňāna) leading to certain philosophical problems.
