Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the main notions and approaches of Assen Ignatov’s Anthropological Philosophy of History: history as unity of social relations; We-Being as ontological foundation of history; historical progress and historical regress as illusory visions; history as a drama with an open end, as open system without aim and without values based output. The universal vs regional history theoretical alternative is analyzed. The author’s point of view describes the universal, the world history as a process and as a product of the regional histories development after the First and especially after the Second World War. Some philosophical approaches toward the Bulgarian history are analyzed within the framework of “universal – regional – national” alternatives.
