Marian Maciejewski Versus Criticism (Including Literary Criticism)

Summary/Abstract: The author characterizes Prof. M. Maciejewski's research attitude as one taken by a historian of literature and an academic teacher. Kerygmatic criticism is presented as a hermeneutic research attitude (and not as methodology), whose goal is to discover a Christian dimension of the studied work. The article proves that owing to an interpretation that will be maximally complete (in the aspect of historical poetics) and to an involved attitude of the reader of the work (in the aspect of axiology) the art reveals its personal, identical, original context.
