Summary/Abstract: This interview was conducted during the Social economy - innovative model to promote active inclusion of disadvantaged people conference, which brought together initiators and promoters of social economy activities from Romania and other European countries. Marieke Huysentruyt is the initiator and coordinator of the SELUSI academic project. SELUSI is a project that focuses on economic and management prospects, on theoretical, experimental and empirical methodologies. The topics covered in this interview refer to the following aspects: research conducted by SELUSI with the theme of social enterprises, ways to promote social economy and tools that can support this field. Ms Marieke Huysentruyt said in the interview that it is necessary for us to pay attention to the social challenges that exist in Romania, completing the conceptual model of social economy with concrete actions in this area.
