Summary/Abstract: Kaimo gyventojų ir gyvenviečių skaičiaus kaita 1959–2011The article covers the demographic rural settlements and changes in the generalpopulation census basis. The article consists of three parts that deal with rural settle-ments and population change. First part consist of several different district of Lithuaniarural population changes, analysis period of 1959–2011 year. The second part analysisthe rural settlements changes and them reasons in Ignalina district. Third part analysisthe changes of rural population during analysed period.
