Summary/Abstract: This article describes the place of aesthetics in philosophy courses at Austrian universities from 1805 to 1848. It is based on an analysis both of national curricula set by the imperial court in Vienna and of lecture lists published by universities in Vienna, Prague, Lemberg (Lvov), Graz, Innsbruck, and Olmütz (Olomouc).
