Summary/Abstract: Article attempts to assess lexical doublets occurring in Polish contemporary feminine press, through the prism of criteria of evaluation of linguistic innovations (criterion of sufficiency language, economy language and aesthetic). Analysis of these anglicisms allowed the statement that the majority of doublets is unnecessary vocabulary in Polish lexical resource. Expansive Americanization of Polish culture and Polish language, however, contribute to the increasing frequency of these doublets in press, though, given their frequent lack of clarity of meaning and communication disturbances, which are the cause, it is clear that the use of this type of language elements should be substantially limited.
