Art Nouveau Architecture and Literary Sofia

Summary/Abstract: The paper is concerned with a problem unresearched up to now, namely, in what ways the architecture of Art Nouveau (in its Secession concretisation, appropriated in the Bulgarian context), the influence of which on the literary process in Bulgaria in general has been sufficiently elucidated, exercised an impact on the style and locations of literary life, in particular. Therefore it is focused on the correlation between the newly introduced architectural style and the cultural life of the capital during the first decades of the twentieth century.
