Fees for the discharge of stormwater

Summary/Abstract: The European Parliament obliged Poland for more rational water usage. As a result of this obligation, Poland was forced to decrease runoff to sewers. Germany and the USA are world leading countries with the biggest experience in that matter. Solutions such as schedule of charges were adapted precisely from them. There are two methods of introducing rainwater fee in Poland. The first one is surface method, fee for draining rainwater based on measurement of the surface outflow. The second process involves measuring the rainwater or calculating the quantity of rainwater from the area (volume method). What is most important the usage of rainwater on specific property has a lot of benefits, both financial and ecological.
