Summary/Abstract: This Special Issue, Projects in Internationalization of Education, was inspired by the depth, breadth, and quality of the capstone projects completed in my course of the same name, by participants in the Global Studies in Education (GSE) Master of Education program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (see: http:// education.illinois.edu/online/gse/). The issue highlights an important exemplar of ongoing global co-operation, of internationalization, and of networks, especially now that I am Professor of Education and Director for the Centre for Global Studies in Education at University of Waikato, New Zealand (see: http://www.waikato.ac.nz/ globalstudies/home) and Adjunct Professor at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The links between the two institutions are ongoing and strengthening.
