Summary/Abstract: This text is a fragment of a diploma thesis written under prof. Dariusz Czaja: Manekin, lalka, teatr. Studium z antropologii świata rzeczy dealing with the anthropology of the theatre. As an attempt at analysing the status of the mannequin in Tadeusz Kantor’s Theatre of Death it refers also to widely conceived ritualism and concentrates on the metaphysical aspects of Kantor’s art.
