Summary/Abstract: Bibliotherapy uses the story as a therapeutic means in changing children’s cognitions, emotions, and behaviors. Our objective was to show the efficiency of therapeutic stories in association with reinforcements and punishments systems in reducing aggressive behavior of a hearing impaired child with ADHD. We used an ABAB design for four weeks and the intervention targeted the aggressive behavior towards other colleagues. We recorded significant decreases in the frequency and the intensity of aggressive behaviors from the first phase to the last phase of the experiment. The therapeutic intervention not only reduced the frequency of occurrence, but also reduced the intensity of the aggressive behaviors. Large sizes of effect were recorded.
