Summary/Abstract: Coopetition is an alternative of competition and cooperation. Coopetitioncontinues to attract growing interest. In this paper, coopetition is presented in the framework of a business model A company’s core competencies include the definition and redefinition of its business model. The aim of this article is to propose a business model which supports value creation in the context of coopetition. The model was formulated in view of the resource theory which sets a common theoretical framework for both concepts. The problem was discussed based on a review of Polish and foreign literature. An analysis of the published sources suggests that coopetition supports all parties to a coopetitive agreement and clients in the value creation process by aggregating and dividing resources and by increasing the value of organization’s assets. The created values include building competitive advantage, maximizing the effectiveness of activities in selected segments of the value chain, differentiating the market offer, increasing the quality of the improving customer service standards.
