Summary/Abstract: The author presents the works of Leopold Buczkowski against the backdrop of Polish prose about the Holocaust, with special attention focused on Czarny potok, Buczkowski’s greatest novel. The sketch depicts the uniqueness of Buczkowski’s prose – Czarny potok is the only novel dating from the time of People’s Poland that shows Shoah by resorting to the technique of a radical literary experiment.
