Summary/Abstract: This article is concentrated on the problematic of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia – People’s Army (FARC-EP), the oldest and still active guerrilla movement in Latin America. We can observe dynamic development in Colombia in last four years. Negotiations between revolutionaries and the government of President Santos offer chance to end this aged conflict and peace seems to be more realistic than ever. In the context of the conflict resolution a very important role is played by neighbouring Venezuela, mainly the government of President Hugo Chávez who was more or less intervening in the conflict.
