Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with various textual facets of Peter HÄRTLING’s Schubert novel, such as poetizing of SCHUBERT’s biography, the example of the so called biographical writing, or the conceptual approach to interpersonal intimacy. By analyzing the previously mentioned aspect – i.e. the conceptual treatment of interpersonal intimacy – Peter HÄRTLING’s roots in the central European romantic discourse are uncovered.
