Summary/Abstract: The Lisbon Treaty has brought about a number of changes not only in the general construction of the European Union but also in many areas of cooperation of its Member States. These developments took also place with regard to an extremely ‘sensitive’ field, which is the cooperation in criminal matters. The focus of this article is a particular aspect of the latter – the harmonization of substantive criminal law.
