Summary/Abstract: It became evident long time ago that Eurovision had turned into popular entertainment for the masses. However, it would be difficult to define what represented and set apart Ireland at Belgrade Eurovision Song Contest this year without offending animals. A stuffed animal named Dustin the Turkey intended to shout names of some European states in a frenetic rhythm and by this to win/abuse their sympathies, manipulating the idea that we are all the same by linking Ireland, Finland, Austria, Switzerland and Germany with states of the former Eastern bloc. A similar synthesis was presented at the recent May elections. The coalition gathered around Tadic did the same by linking Europe and Kosovo, though only in theory, and - to everyone's amazement - they succeeded! The double salto mortale was fruitful, bringing 102 seats in the Parliament. With the convincing victory over the radicals, in these post-election moments, Serbia looks optimistic, or rather it looks like a retrospective of any day between 5 October 2000 and 11 March 2003...
