Summary/Abstract: The laghusiddhānta of the Śrībhāṣya begins with the question addressed to the Advaitin as to what nature the emancipation equal to the cessation of nescience is. There appears to be no discrepancy between the opinion of the opponent and Rāmānuja as to the point that the cessation of nescience results from the knowledge of Brahman. There, however, remains a question as to the nature of this knowledge.
