Summary/Abstract: The emergence of China on the international stage as a global economic player involves geopolitical and geostrategic changes. From this point of view, the comprehensive Strategic Partnership between EU and China could be one of the most important element that will redefine the economic international relations in the next decade. Relevant in this regard can be considered a series of initiatives such as “The Investment Plan for Europe“, “The Silk Road Economic Belt“ and “The Maritime Silk Road for the XXIst Century (A Belt, a Road)“. On the other hand, we have to take into account the fact that the evolution of the Strategic Partnership between EU and China is characterized by some mutual sensitivies that can be overcomed only be carefully negotiated compromises.
