Non-believers in Polish Society

Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the issue of non-believers in Polish society. In the first part, it presents social and cultural situation of non-believing communities and its historical foundation. We discuss definition of the non-belief and its auxiliary phenomena as well as the reasons for non — believing. Moreover, we present existing research on non-believers, the history of organizations associating individuals with such worldview as well as attitudes of the Catholic Church to non-believers. In the second part, we present our own research on knowledge and social convictions regarding non-believers.
