Summary/Abstract: The world is currently facing a long process of rethinking the concepts of “security” and “threat” and, also, a reassessment of responses and measures to be taken to reduce/mitigate them. Globalization and its associated challenges are issues that will affect the security environment of the Euro-Atlantic community. In this context, the intelligence services are determined to identify the most effective ways to respond to these challenges.
