Lexicon of pre-wedding rituals in Tuvan

Summary/Abstract: In the article the author tries to analyse the words associated with the Tuvan traditional pre-wedding rituals involvingethnographic materials. The considered lexicon is a complex entity, which includes common words, as well as words andphrases of limited use, due to the fact that many of the concepts have become outdated. The article is based on the datacollected by the author during dialectological expeditions and selected from the literature and from the manuscript collectionof Tuvan Institute of Humanitarian and Applied Socio-Economic Researches.
