Summary/Abstract: The author examines the issue of the Slavic aspect in the mission of the Resurrectionists in the 19th century, presenting the imaginary world of the united ethnic Slavic community based on the Slavic culture and the authority of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius. This unity, however, was short-lived (about 1815–1830) and then the hostility of the Poles towards Orthodox Russia started to prevail. Attention is also paid to the Resurrectionists’ idea of the unification of the church in the Slavic world after the Crimean War. The article presents the actions and initiatives of the Polish Resurrectionists in the Bulgarian lands.
