Summary/Abstract: Using the papers in the special issue as a provocation for her own work, the author addresses three key issues: (1) the topic of the research study described in the issue, the relation of university supervisor and doctoral advisee; (2) the research methodology used in the study, collaborative biographical memory work; and (3) ethics. She explains that Derrida’s and Deleuze’s ontological work as well as ontologies described by feminists in the new empiricisms/new materialisms enable a different ethics in post humanist, post qualitative theory and research.
