Russian Army-Industrial Complex and its Place and Role in the Political System of the Russian Federation

Summary/Abstract: The article closely clarifi es the role of military-industrial complex (MIC) and its position in Russian political, social and economic system. It shows progress and main changes of MIC during the last 20 years up to existing situation, which is characterised by high centralisation and control from the side of state bodies. MIC is in the context of its size and importance an indivisible part of Russian security-political concept; and in this sense it widely exceeds the bounds of clearly economical aspect. Perspectives of its further progress are in the context of last “reformative” steps evaluated as a next point to strengthening the state position in organisation of Russian society.
