Summary/Abstract: Press releases are still the instrument mainly used by public relations specialists. It is known that practitioners mostly write press releases in order to keep the public informed and interested, and that the quality of these press releases has a direct impact on the way in which the organization is perceived by the public. However, many journalists complain about the quality of the press releases received from PR specialists. Thus, this article aims to analyse a series of press releases in order to try to identify the possible causes of poor press releases. Furthermore, the article intends to establish if the text property of coherence is achieved.
