Management of renewable resources in an open access fishery

Summary/Abstract: The paper illustrates a review of the main papers concerning optimization of management in an open access fishery. Presented research refers to optimizing an exploitation of the biomass of a fish population in a static and dynamic manner. The key role of the discount rate in decision making process in a case of dynamical model is also shown in this paper. Instruments that are applied in the fishery regulatory policies, especially UE Instruments for Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), are also discussed here. The application of specific, and not another, instruments is proved on the basis of presented theoretical work.
