Summary/Abstract: The paper aims at highlighting the features of the Romanian business environment in recent years, including the background of the current crisis, the obstacles in the path of its development and the recovery measures taken by the public authorities in the context of the current crisis. As the Romanian business environment focuses mainly on small and medium-sized enterprises, the paper also aims at highlighting the implications of the crisis on the economic and financial situation of this sector, the difficulties it faces and the current challenges.
