Summary/Abstract: Knowing both the fact that the activity of audit is relatively recent in our country , and the complex effects that the adhesion of our country to the European Union implies, the domain of public control and public audit also requires the introduction of new regulations pursuant to the European legislation in the domain. That is why we considered the comparison between the public audit system in Great Britain and that in Romania to be interesting.
