Summary/Abstract: The article discusses homily in the ceremony of renewing the wedding vows. After presenting the general remarks, the article continues to discuss the meaning, aim, source, and formal factors of the renewing homily. Then, it presents the triple nature (thanksgiving, strengthening, and praying) of the ceremony of renewing the wedding vows connected with wedding anniversaries and jubilees. The article suggests that reference to the specificity of retreats, which is all about the development of marital and familial life, should become the content of homily. Homily in the ceremony of renewing the wedding vows during missions should have an evangelical character and show the need of fundamental reformation. The ceremony should also show the missionary dimension of Christian life in a familial and parochial community.
